Varsity Volleyball Sweeps Riviera Prep

The varsity volleyball team traveled to Riviera Prep Wednesday night to take on an upset-minded Bulldog team. Yet, after an hour of play, the scoreboard showed the visiting Sharks with a three-set sweep. The offensive firepower of Divine Savior was simply too much for the young Riviera Prep team to handle.
The Sharks won the match with set scores of 25-12, 25-17, 25-19. Statistically, DSA was lead by seniors Isabella Mendoza (23 kills and 16 digs), Belyssa Cruz (21 digs), Maite Alberdi (11 kills), Amanda Torres (7 kills), and Isabel Macia (22 assists).
Divine Savior (11-1) now sets its sights on the extremely competitive and high-profile Battle at the Beach Invitational held at Venice High School. This two-day tournament is a showcase event featuring some of the top Florida high school programs. The Sharks will be tested in every match. This exciting tournament is scheduled for October 1-2.
