Divine Savior Academy extended its postseason success on Wednesday against JC Bermudez Doral. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Thunder. The victory was nothing new for the Sharks, who are now sitting on seven straight wins.

While Divine Savior Academy might’ve won, it sure wasn’t easy: JC Bermudez Doral scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-21, 25-19.

Kingston Leyrer paced Divine Savior Academy’s offense, picking up 18 kills. Leyrer got some help from Manuel Cueva , who had 24 assists. Pedro Carvalho controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Divine Savior Academy’s win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for JC Bermudez Doral, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

Divine Savior Academy will play next in the Regional Semi-final on Tuesday at the Shark Tank.
