The Sharks defeated the Sunset Senior High Knights Monday night at the Shark Tank with a score of 77 to 42. The home team finished the first Quarter with a 16-10 lead, and closed the second Quarter up 33-30. In the second half, DSA took over scoring 44 to Sunset’s 12, all while limiting Sunset to 1 point in the fourth. The home team converted 45% of their field goals helped by 16 team assists, and controlled the boards with 41 team rebounds. The Sharks had four players in double-figure scoring.

Junior James Tejada led all scorers with 24, making 6 three-pointers

Senior Xander Castillo produced a double-double with 21 points (8/10 shots) and 11 rebounds; and also had 4 assists

Senior Matthew Gossin scored 11 points, with 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals

Junior Jadet Torres scored 10 points, with 2 rebounds and 3 steals

Senior Giann Romero had 7 points, 7 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals

Junior Christian Gonzalez had 8 rebounds and 2 steals

Senior Dante Ledezma had 8 rebounds
