The Divine Savior Academy’s Tennis team played incredibly well on Tuesday afternoon. With many exemplary and victorious results, we thank coaches Jenny Sotomayor and Nic Liu for guiding our boys’ and girls’ tennis teams to great success. Let’s look at their results:

The boy’s sharks team finished in 3rd place out of nine teams. Our girl’s team finished 1st overall, making them our District Champions! Senior Avril Rodriguez is our District Champion in the singles division, which advances her to the State match. Senior Avril Rodriguez and Junior Anabella Parente finished District Champions in the doubles division, advancing them to the State match. We are so proud of these results and can not wait to see them in Regionals and States!

Additionally, Coach Jenny Sotomayor would like to highlight freshman Alec Riviere who won his line #2. He beat Miami Country Day in the finals! “He played phenomenal.” – Coach Jenny Sotomayor

Congratulations to all these amazing athletes. The next time we see them will be at the Regional Semifinals, hosted here at the Divine Savior Tennis Courts, on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 9 a.m. The team will host Riviera Prep.
