Normal time ended tied 1-1 and extra time saw no goals added to the board. There was a tense moment, however, as JC Bermudez was awarded a penalty 10 minutes from the final whistle. As #30 from the JCB Thunder stepped up to the spot, it nearly looked as if they would pull away 2-1 winners. However, Goalkeeper David Aperte dove to his right and made a crucial save to send it behind – what now seems like a warm-up for the shoot-out.

The Sharks now face Miami Country Day in the District Championship on 1/31 at 3:00pm. The final is hosted by JC Bermudez. The two teams faced earlier this season, with DSA coming out on top, 4-2. Surely, Miami Country Day will come out fighting.
