DSA is looking to make history this year on the golf course. Currently, the program has enough participants to field both girls’ and boys’ teams this year. In the past, the few female golfers that existed in the program had to compete as members of the boys’ team. To finally have enough girls to field a separate girls’ team is fantastic!

This year’s golf teams are directed by head coach Alvaro Puche and assistant coach Robbie Schmidt. Coach Alvaro takes over for coach Ryan Kirchoff who recently left DSA for a teaching position in Wisconsin. Coach Alvaro brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the program. He served as the assistant coach for two years under coach Kirchoff but now takes over as the head coach.

The DSA golf program is still in its infancy but it is great to see the growth that is occurring in the program. There are many talented student-athletes ready to represent DSA proudly on the course this Fall. Stay connected with this program through the new website all season long.
