District Victory for Boys’ Volleyball

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Divine Savior Academy had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the JC Bermudez Doral Thunder. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sharks.

Leading Divine Savior Academy to victory were Kevin Chen and Santiago Lopez Farina. Chen had nine digs and one assist, while Lopez Farina had 16 kills and eight digs. Lopez Farina is on a roll when it comes to kills, as he’s now had five or more in each of the last six games he’s played. Pedro Carvalho also deserves some recognition as he had his first dig of the season.

Divine Savior Academy’s record is now 11-6. As for JC Bermudez Doral, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-3.

Divine Savior heads to the Regional Semi-final on Tuesday, May 6.
