Varsity Boys Basketball Recap
The Varsity Boys Basketball Team ended their season this weekend with a close loss against COHEA (76-80) competing for the District Championship title. Even though this game was on a Saturday, the gym was the most packed we have ever seen! Before the game, the PTO put on an amazing cookout for fans to enjoy a quick meal beforehand. With a majority of new players, the Sharks put on a show this season. They ended it being 14 in 11 (W/L). The team stats were led by new players; junior, Thiago Sucatzky, and freshman, Joost West. With only one senior leaving (Jean Paul), the team will be returning stronger than ever for their future season! Here is a closing quote from Thiago Sucatzky:
“This season was very special, I think that for everyone, we formed an incredible group, with tremendous people and great coaches, we faced difficult moments with many injuries and high and low moments, but we knew how to get ahead, I think we ended the season playing our best level of basketball and enjoying, although it did not go out how we wanted to, we are proud of ourselves. My favorite moment is every time we were all together and shared every practice and every trip. For next year we will come in with everything. I think we already have the experience and we can give much better than we are, we are going to give everything as we always do.”
