Varsity Volleyball Update

Divine Savior Sharks varsity volleyball unfortunately lost their non-conference home game on September 14 by a score of 1-3. Our Sharks fought strong and never gave up after Captain Sophia Valbuena encouraged her team all the way until the last point. A week later our Sharks came back stronger than ever with a score of 2- 0 against St. John Paul II Academy and 2-0 against Chaminade- Madonna. Last weekend our Varsity Volleyball team competed at the Chaminade-Madonna Tournament, dominating 3 out of their 5 games! Our Sharks fought strong all the way till the last point on Friday against Pine Crest and Archbishop McCarthy on Saturday. Unfortunately both of theses games ended with a loss of 1-2. This did not stop our Sharks from gaining control of Chaminade-Madonna, St. John Paul II Academy and Cooper City with a score of 2–0. With Captain Sophia Valbuena guiding her team, they made it all the way through the tournament. The Sharks are back in action on Tuesday, September 26 against Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart.
