The DSA cross country team had a competitive meet at Palmer Trinity on Tuesday, September 21. The JV and varsity teams combined, so there was one girls race and one boys race.

The top runner for the girls and a medal winner was Mariana Castillo who ran a time of 20:34. The top runner for the boys was Mateo Sotelo. In an exciting finish, he came in second place with a time of 17:38.  Jo Nunez placed third with a time of 17:51, and Sebastian Tenorio placed fifth with a time of 18:35.

Overall, both the girls and boys teams raced well, and many had personal best times. They are looking forward to returning to Palmer Trinity on October 5th to see if more personal records can be set.
