Divine Savior Academy Volleyball Recognized with AVCA Team Academic Award

The Divine Savior Academy varsity volleyball team, led by head coach Matt Willems and assistant coach Alan Obrador, is the recipient of the 2020-2021 Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). This is the 7th year in a row that the DSA volleyball team has achieved this award. To God be the Glory!
The award, which was initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.
Along with winning the AVCA academic award, the 2019-2020 DSA volleyball team finished up a great season last year by reaching the Regional Championship match. The team lost to Westminster Christian falling just one match short of making the State Final Four. The Lord continues to richly bless our DSA volleyball program!
Congratulations to the team for winning this award and for representing DSA so well both on and off the court!
